Ilg is a former lieutenant with the Massachusetts State Police and a former investigator with the district attorney's office who investigated arson and homicide cases. As a lawyer, he has tried hundreds of cases in Massachusetts district and superior courts and has more than 30 years of experience in criminal law. He handles criminal defense cases in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Reynold's daughter, Melissa Ilg Devore, is also an experienced attorney who focuses her career on Massachusetts family law matters. After graduating from law school, Melissa worked as a prosecutor in the Middlesex District Attorney's Office before going into private practice. As a family law attorney with a criminal defense background, she has a unique perspective on the practice of law. Melissa has handled matters in which family issues overlap with criminal issues, including domestic violence and restraining orders.
